Graham met Representative Burgess Owens

Have you ever opened up your mailbox to find a picture of yourself speaking with Representative Burgess Owens in the local paper? LOL

A few months ago, I had the opportunity to talk with my school district’s leadership and Representative Burgess Owens. I was able to share with them how I utilize AI to evolving my teaching practice and will change education — and even how it fits into the current standards.

I am thankful to have bosses and a Representative that is curious and wants to hear from the teachers he makes policy for. Regardless of political ideologies, we all want the best for our kids. We are all on the same team.

So, how did this picture end up in the newspaper? Well, education is changing rapidly, and AI is a catalyst for that change. I am just a teacher trying new things and working in a small, alternative high school. To be honest, I have no idea how this even happened, but it was cool.

If I have learned anything over the last year, I learned how hard work and effort pay off. AI has not just helped me advance professionally, but it has had an incredible impact on my personal life… because I can finally leave work on time and spend less time over the weekend (and weeknights) preparing to teach.

So, why have I become such an advocate for AI?

It has made me fall back in love with my profession, helped me maintain a work-life balance, and helps me serve every student every day.
