Graham Bany is an English Language Arts teacher at Valley High School (Jordan School District’s alternative high school) in South Jordan, Utah. He has a B.S. in English with an emphasis in Education from Utah Tech University, has an ESL & Instructional Coaching endorsement, and is currently working on his Educational Technology endorsement through SUU. Additionally, he works as his school’s technology coach where he helps lead the coaching team.
Graham has been a featured presenter at conferences ran by International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), Utah Alternative Education Association (UAEA), Utah Association for Career and Technical Education (Utah ACTE), SchoolAI, and Jordan School District. He has been featured on KSL, Utah Business Journal, UEN’s Homeroom podcast, JSD’s Supercast podcast, JSD’s the Jordan Journey podcast, and various other local newspapers covering his work in education. In 2024, Graham was awarded the Innovative Teacher of the Year award from the Utah Coalition of Education Technology (UCET).
Graham has experience working as a paraprofessional in severe special education, working as a tutor on the Shivwits Band of Paiutes Reservation, and as a Special Olympics coach for Bingham High School. As a former two-time SkillsUSA state champion and former state officer, he enjoys volunteering at the annual SkillsUSA Utah state competition where he has judged the Promotional Bulletin Board contest. Among other things, Graham works as a consultant with various educational technology companies advising on the platform, features, and direct application within the classroom, including working as a Learning Experience Designer for SchoolAI in 2023.
